Finding the Right Neoprene Thermal Wetsuit for Children

Finding the Right Neoprene Thermal Wetsuit for Children

Neoprene wetsuits are highly sought after by parents who seek for swimwear which keep children warm in the water especially during chilly weather.

About Neoprene
Neoprene material is made of synthetic rubber material which is known for its functional properties such as providing insulation for warmth and protection.

Wetsuits made of neoprene helps to keep the wearer warm in the water by trapping a thin layer of water between the body and the suit whereby the body heat will warm this layer of water.

How to Choose the RIGHT Wetsuit?
Fit is everything when shopping for a wetsuit that works in keeping the wearer warm. Look for these three points when you choose a wetsuit for your child.

1. Fits like a second skin
There should be little excess room, including the torso, crotch, shoulders & knees.

2. Should not be too loose
If the wetsuit is too loose, too much water will be flowing through the space between the suit and the surface of the skin and it will be ineffective in keeping your child warm. The effectiveness of the wetsuit comes from the snugness of the suit.

3. Not too much restrictions in movement
The right wetsuit size will allow mobility and flexibility. Ask your child to squat down and he should be able to do it comfortably. Try lifting the arms over the head and stretch out the shoulders. If there is too much pressure, the wetsuit is too small. At no time should the garment restrict breathing.
