New Competitive Swimsuit Collection: BREAKOUT by Funkita and Funky Trunks
Funkita and Funky Trunks go by their attention-grabbing tag line “Australia's boring resistant swimwear” and fulfill this promise by turning out swimsuits for kids and grown-ups that are bright, crazy and funky so keeping the boredom of lap-swimming and training at bay.
Their swimsuit styles and finishes are designed for the serious swimmer who values functionality and form. Using C-infinity fabrication from Italy, it is chlorine-resistant and UPF 50+ in sun protection properties ensuring training under the sun is also well covered.
In this Breakout collection, Funkita and Funky Trunks feature their signature quirky prints and vibrant colours in representative styles pictured below. It only gets funkier each time with prints such as Pride Power, Powder Puff, Mr Bitey, Stacked Up and more.
One-piece swimsuits for girls are available in three strap styles: Single strap, diamond back and cross back. Any of these designs give excellent fit for the swimmer to swim at the best in the pool. There are criss-cross and racerback sports tops for girls who would prefer the two-piece swimsuit style. For boys, trunks and jammers are standard fare but far from boring. Jazzy colours and funky prints up the cool factor for boys who love the water.
Swimwear sizes are available from 2 to 14 for children, AU 8 to 12 for ladies and waist size 24 to 36 for men.
This season, Funkita teamed up with Australia’s legendary seven-time world champion surfer, Layne Beachley, to create a special “Beach Dreams” print (pictured below) for a purpose. Funkita will be donating 10% of each sale to Aim For The Stars, Layne’s own foundation to offer scholarships to Australian girls and women who are aspiring to excel in a chosen field of pursuit, while becoming a beacon in their community for motivation and inspiration. So take a look at the various styles offered in this print for girls.
For accessories this season, there are new additions to the range. There are kickboards in vibrant colours and mesh gear bags too for a bright and cheery poolside training session! And of course, there are the usual fun swim caps for swimmers in newer designs.
And first time in Singapore are the Funkita and Funky Trunks speed racer goggles, Perfect for competitive swimmers, they are designed to mould comfortably over your eyes with a streamlined low profile which reduces water resistance and increases peripheral vision. Not forgetting anti-fog, UV protection properties and an additional silicone head strap for each pair of goggles you buy. These exciting designs are available in both non-mirrored and mirrored lens options.
Funkita and Funky Trunks new collection are now stocked in both Ocean Paradise stores. Toddler range is only available in Paragon.
